2009 is the Ballynure Old Boy's 40th Anniversary Year having been formed in 1969. We are proud to have Belfast Roofing Company as our first team sponsor, Valentino's Pizzeria as our second team sponsor, tracksuit sponsor WJS Electrical Services and T-Shirt sponsor Ballyclare Windows & Glazing.

Past Managers include E. Worthington (brother of the current Northern Ireland Manager Nigel) R. Moore, B. Stewart,  DJ McKenzie, S. Kirk. W. Strange. A few Ballynure players went on to play for Ballyclare Comrades namely P. McCourt, DJ McKenzie, W. Higgins, R. McGookin B. Penney and the current 1st X1 Manager R. Reid.

Both 1st and 2nd teams played in the BB Old Boys League before the 1st X1 joined the Ballymena Intermediate League around 1999-2000 and indeed were crowned Champions in 2001-2002. The 1st team have also won the McReynolds Cup in 2002-03 & 2004-05 and the Crawford Cup 2003-04.

The 2nd XI managed by Angus Henry now play in the Ballymena Reserve League, this League was only formed two seasons ago.
